To boldly go where no micro has gone before

I've previously highlighted BrickCommander's great Star Wars stuff. He's recently posted instructions for several key Star Trek ships, like the Enterprise-A and the Voyager.

Space battle

Nnenn presents a great space battle. As he describes it: "Depiction of the Mesa 6 standoff- Rushki forces held the corridor without contest for 17 days before a Jway ECM cruiser and escort arrived and began broadcasting. Rushki warbirds are notoriously weak, but sans guidance systems they never had a chance."

It's all over but the chasing

LUGPol has been recently running a contest/game about policemen and thieves. As part of this, Crises has created a great Chase in the micro city. I love all the details like the subway underground, gravestones in the churchyard, and pollution in the river.

Hot wheels

In his series of vehicles, Coverture has a nice wheel solution using skateboard wheels and wrenches (I know, both Bricklink and Peeron call this a bar with clip).

While we're on town vehicles, Benny888 has a nice dozer.

Star Wars

Moodswim has a ton of great Star Wars minis, such as this swoop bike, Anakin's speeder, Luke's landspeeder and a speeder bike. Check out gallery 1 and gallery 2 to see them all. Unfortunately, he hasn't posted full-size photos of all of these. I hope he does so soon.

Magnetic

Casper Mathiesen made fridge magnet versions of two of the buildings from set 10184, Town Plan. If you go through his blog, Lego for life, he's also got great fig and micro versions of some town buildings.

Brick Bash

If you were lucky enough to attend the recent Brick Bash in Ann Arbor, you had the opportunity to see Spencer Rezkalla's micro version of the Renaissance Center from Detroit and his micro renditon of the Taipei 101 building from Taiwan. Brickshelf galleries are here and here.

Microloverman

Pete Reid was recently interviewed on LAML Radio. This led me to check out his Brickshelf gallery, where I found some nice micro space MOCs, including miniaturizations of set 497, Galaxy Explorer, and 6941, Battrax.

Micro Moonbase

I keep telling myself that one of these days I'll get around to writing an extensive article on standards, such as the Micro Moonbase standard suggested by Bram Lambrecht. Andrew Lee uses this standard to create Space Police and industrial moonbase modules. I really like that he includes representations of set 6895, Spy-Trak I, and set 6886, Galactic Peace Keeper. I'm not sure if these are entries, but Classic-Space.com is now hosting a Building the Future that Never Was contest, and two of the categories are micro moonbase module and micro vehicle are two of the categories. Entries will go in this Flickr group and you can rest assured that this blog will report on the micro aspects of this contest.
