Hovercraft

Perhaps one of our Polish readers can help fill in details, but over on LugPol they seem to be having a new round of the Brick Transport Tycoon contest, challenging people to build sea transports. M-longer weighs in with a great hovercraft ferry. Note how it opens up so that the vehicles it's carrying can be unloaded.

ø me ø my

Apparently LEGO has a relationship with the Rambøll Group, a Danish energy company. They're producing a microscale promo set of an offshore oil drilling platform. Don't get your hopes up too much; the last company promo, the Vestas windmill promo set did not go into general release. Thanks to Chewk for pointing out the photos.

Mini Castle Contest IV

Rh1985moc presents the RMS Olympic, sister ship to the more famous Titanic. One cool aspect of this creation is that he included lighting.

Heritage

It's been a while since I've noted the ongoing Piece of Peace display of UNESCO World Heritage sites created by Kazuyoshi Naoe. Sukuizu has a nice gallery of images from this display, such as the Cathedral Metropolitan de Brasilia and the Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família.
