Mixing of scales

Pe668 mixes fig and micro scales effectively in the Legend of Captain Blood Beard, an entry for the Pillage the Village contest on Classic-Pirates. That micro rendition of the Black Seas Barracuda is a great MOC in it's own right.

Micro Vics

Nnenn and Peter Morris have started a Flickr pool and challenged builders to come up with their interpretation of the Vic Viper design. Several of the participants have taken a micro approach, like Pete Corp, getfur909, J4ke, , MasterGongfu, Bodo Elsel, and the winner for smallest design, Steelbreeze9.

Disney, exciting and new, come aboard, we're expecting you

Recently members of GFLUG presented their MOCs at the Festival of the Masters event by the LEGO store outside of Disney World. Michael Huffman blended the ideas of Disney and LEGO with his rendition of the Disney Magic Cruise boat. Joe Meno added a pirate ship to the scene as well.

Okay, a break from castles, sort of

Not a complete break, but not an entry for the MCC. T-brick built this amazing Taj Mahal.
