LEGO to go

A couple of days ago I featured Jackie's mid-life crisis, chronicling her journeys to UNESCO World Heritage Sites in photos and in LEGO. In a recent post, she showed off her LEGO kit. I'm really impressed with the small pack she put together and its flexibility to build all of these MOCs, such as the Avila Cathedral.

Micropolis at KidsFest

Micropolis delighted fans of all ages at the LEGO KidsFest in Minneapolis over the weekend.

There were a few new additions, including a nuclear sub in the crowded sea port. The drive-in theater got an impressive upgrade during the show.

Jackie's mid life crisis gap year

Check out the blog Jackie's mid life crisis gap year, A jaunt around world heritage sites, with some Lego. Jackie Britton decided to take a year off from working to travel to as many UNESCO World Heritage sites as she could. That's totally cool in and of itself, but she's sharing her journey with us in both photos and microscale models of each site she visits. She started her travels a month ago in Morocco and then moved on to Portugal and Spain, and so far she's visited sites including Ait-ben-Haddou in Morocco, the Holy Chapel of El Salvador in Ubeda, Sapinand and Seville Cathedral. I'm sure I'll be following this blog carefully and will bring some of the MOCs over here to MicroBricks.

W

Jennifer Heaton made this great cathedral, which is also the letter W for a BrickWorld display. I'm assuming they're writing out TWINLUG, since they've also got a G and a U.
