Archtectural
David Shifflett has scans of the instruction booklets from the Adam Reed Tucker designed Sears Tower and John Hancock Center sets. In addition to the instructions themselves, the booklets have information on the actual buildings, notes from Adam and from LEGO, and a peek at the future of the Architecture line.

Silja Line Ferry
It's been a while since I've done a set feature, but JanK posted some images of set 1580. Over the years LEGO has released a number of ferries as promotional sets in cooperation with different shipping companies. This set, the Silja Line Ferry, came out in 1977.

Brick Science Contest
Chris Doyle, of Reasonably Clever is hosting a Brick Science contest and Shane Larson and myself are guest judges. The connection? We're all scientists. That's right, with fancy degrees and everything. Build something inspired by good or evil scientists, real or fictional to win fabulous prizes.

And a jedi in a pear tree
I wasn't sure whether to post Rogue Bantha's new MOC Anakin Tree under microscale or vignettes. He mixes small minifig scenes from Anakin Skywalker's life with microscale ships he flew in one of the most unique presentations I've seen.

Polish space
These spaceships were on display at a recent Lugpol gathering. The brown ship is Jerrec's Juggernaut, so I assume the yellow ships are also his. Could someone let me know if there is a different builder who deserves credit for these?

Building fun
The Ambassador Membership at Legoland California is a lifetime of goodies (though at a pretty steep price - get one for your kid so they can reap the benefits for the next 80 years and the price averages out quite nicely, though). One of the exclusive benefits is an annual building day with the park's Master Model Builders. Mariann Asanuma, a former Master Model Builder, made this Eiffel Tower for that building day (thanks to Jljm, who is apparently a member, for the photo).
