Inspired by the vehicles in the Tower Bridge set, Sir Jayko built this fire truck, along with 4 other micro vehicles.

Andy's room

Pepa Quin's Andy's room MOC is one of the best things I've ever seen built out of LEGO. It doesn't really fit any of my blogs, since the scale is significantly larger than Miniland scale, but I can highlight this great little airplane:

Even by itself that would be a nice little MOC worth highlighting - made from only 11 pieces and yet instantly recognizable. If I were more of a masochist than I already am, this MOC alone would be enough to prompt one of the other niche blog ideas I at one point entertained - DisneyBricks. There are tons of great MOCs out there, and over the years there have been various Disney licenses - like the Mickey and Minney Creator sets, the Pooh DUPLO line and the more recent broad license including Toy Story, Cars, PoP, and PotC. If any Disney fans out there are interested in starting a niche blog, I'd be happy to help you get it set up.

Little in Japan

Not sure how I missed this, but Lino made this great Ultraman Vs. Baltan! for the Big in Japan collaborative display at BrickCon earlier this year.

On the fourth day of Christmas ...

Okay, I know, that's actually December 28, but the December 4 offering from the 2010 LEGO City Advent Calendar was this micro crane (here photographed by Dave Bond). This year's calendar features several micro vehicles - or perhaps they're meant to be fig-scale toys.

The late Nate Nielsen

Most readers of this blog probably remember Nnenn, an extremely prolific and creative space builder, whose microscale work was featured here many times. This spring he was tragically killed in a car accident, so you can understand the shock when two new MOCs showed up in his photostream today, including the Arthinean Forces. Apparently Nate had three MOCs left when he died. Peterlmorris and Dablackcat were able to get the photos and Fredoichi helped edit them, so that Nate's wife could place them in his photostream. This was a real labor of love, but also a very bittersweet moment. I guess there is one MOC left to post, so watch Nnenn's stream for his final work.
