The envelope please

Here are the results from the 2010 LEGO Military Annual Build Competition. Mainman's C54 Tahre placed in the helicopter category. Microscale was also prominent in two categories based on forced perspective. The smaller MOC category was topped by Atin's Bombing of LA and Cardz's June 6 1944 and won by 2 Much Caffeine's Sniper. The large scale category was topped by Snuffwuzz's Hind Attack and Ewok in Disguise's Indian Ocean, Present Day and won by Mainman's Furball Bullseye, which also won the all-around prize.

Congraduations

Dang, Nannan gives great gifts. Wish I had him in one of my classes. I blogged some of the others, but Nannan gave several gifts to his favorite professors as he graduated from Washington University recently, including a rendition of Brookings Hall on their campus.

Stay on target

Shoot, thought I'd already blogged this one. I guess I just blogged the planes. Anyway, Mainman mixes microscale with something that's much closer to true life scale to get Furball!.

Ni Hao Jin Mao

Spencer Rezkalla follows up his previous Trump International with the Jin Mao Tower from Shanghai. I'm guessing these will both be on display at BrickWorld next weekend.

Persistent salesman

Gearcs's salesman is a little too persistent, determined that the spaceman won't leave the planet a new vacuum cleaner. He calls this A spaceman is in sight of a mad seller... Great use of microscale here for forces perspective.

Micropolis: Sands of Time

Reasonably Clever and TwinLUG are teaming up for another contest: Micropolis: Sands of Time - Build a micropolis module, but it doesn't have to be in a modern city theme. It doesn't even have to be in one era. You can include elements from whatever time period you choose. For instance, 4 Diamonds' entry is Pirate Beach, where pirate ships are arriving along the modern waterfront.
