Micropolis

-Mainman- has added another great skyscraper to his Micropolis collection, the Kissler Tower. Especially look at the helipad on top, perfect for his micro helicopters.

Abbey road

_z_ built this great Semperamid Abbey. Sure, it's a good MOC, but why would I post it on this blog, you ask? Maybe I meant to put it on GodBricks but made a mistake? No, it's here because he planned it all out at microscale.

Tugboat

Flickr user Pierre E Fieschi posted a nice tugboat. Nicely photographed, with a classic background.

Check out his micro super tanker, as well.

Where are the tiny blue guys?

Chris Deck, aka Legostein, is known for microscale science fiction. He started out by building almost every vehicle imaginable from the Star Wars universe, then moved on to Star Trek, BSG, and other sci-fi worlds. He's recently tried his hand at the world of Avatar, with his Scorpion Gunship and Valkyrie Shuttle. As always, he includes instructions so you can make your own.

My life this week

I just finally dug out from the last storm when we got hit with another. Grr. Anyway, Brandon Bannerman used microscale effectively to create forced perspective in Bird's Eye, built for the Blood in the Snow contest. Via the Brothers Brick.

Ich bin ein teeny-tiny Berliner

Brickshelf builder 'sheep' has come up with virtual versions of a number of Berlin landmakrs: the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag and the Victory Column. I'd really love to see real brick versions of these designs.

Tiny spaces

We could pretty much devote a entire micro blog to the work of Pete Reid (Legoloverman), as he is constantly coming up with amazing microspace MOCs.

Snowy Day

Apparently Crises has been having a tough winter. When he goes out in the morning to start his car, the first question he needs to ask is which one? is his.

Biplanes are cool.

They're so cool that the army in 2067 realized they should be brought back into service. Via The Brothers Brick I saw this micro Aircraft carrier by Chaffeem.

A good clean MOC by any standards, it is without a doubt the planes that really catches one's eye.

The diorama is greater than the sum of its parts

Legoloverman put his Micro Marauder alongside a micro tank on a well-designed platform. With a few touches like tank tracks and engine exhaust, the result looks like this:

A-10 Warthog

Flickr user tbone_tbl posted some photos of a micro A-10 Warthog.

The A-10 engines are mounted high on the fuselage, making them a challenge for a micro-scale model. Tbone posted this photo of the technique he used to attach the engines.
