Gundam

I'm actually not sure if all of Superb's MOCs are from the Gundam series, as one looks like Space Battleship Yamamoto. I don't really follow anime at all, but these are very cool little ships.

Here's another MOC from BrickCon: the Batmobile. Photo taken by Bolt of Blue. Can anyone identify the builder?
Edit - Thanks again to Ochre Jelly for identifying this - the builder is corran101, Harrison Densmore.

I'd like to be, under the sea ...

Someone at BrickCon built this undersea base. Can anyone identify the builder? Photo credit to Bolt of Blue.
Edit - This was built by Andrew Lee. Here is his Flickr gallery for this MOC. Thanks, Ochre Jelly, for the identification.

Mini Castle Contest V

We're only a few days from the deadline of the Mini Castle Contest V. There are lots of great entries already, such as CJ Edwards' Castle on the Lake and Tavernellos' castle.

Happy Fun Times in Nevingsak Town

Jordan Neves, Jacob Sysak and collaborated on Happy Fun Times in Nevingsak Town, which was shown at BrickCon. I really like the park and the playground, and all of the mecha variants are cool.

It's just around the corner

A bit ago, Chris Deck built the Leonov from the movie 2010. As always he includes directions so you can build your own.

Assembling Shannonia

Several times over the past couple of years we've featured Shannon Young's Shannonia as it has grown and expanded. I really liked this pic from BrickCon (taken by Bill Ward), showing Shannon putting it together.

wing technique

A few days ago, fredoichi posted a photo of his Makoto Zero Sky Fighter, which used 2x2 trapezoid flags as the wings, with a couple of Technic half-pins clipped to the front edge of the flag/wing. I think it's a new technique.

Legoloverman used that technique to build three new spacecraft, Blacktron F-Bomber, Blacktron Space Raider, and Space Police Viper.

But legoloverman didn't just copy. He added a few twists of his own. First, he used lever bases instead of the half-pins. Then he doubled up the trapezoid flags to produce larger front wings for the Space Police Viper. Finally, the tail fins of that ship are made by overlapping two trapezoid flags on the same bar.

Reichstag

Christopher Deck continues his exploration of world landmarks with the Reichstag. As always, he includes instructions so you can build your own. At over 400 pieces, this is pretty massive for a micro MOC, one of the largest MOCs Chris has made in years.

Burj Dubai

Spencer Rezkalla has these great images of the Burj Dubai under construction. As much as I like the overall skyscraper (how many 2x2 round plates are in that thing, anyway?), I like these little cranes even more.
