Several times over the past couple of years we've featured Shannon Young's Shannonia as it has grown and expanded. I really liked this pic from BrickCon (taken by Bill Ward), showing Shannon putting it together.
But legoloverman didn't just copy. He added a few twists of his own. First, he used lever bases instead of the half-pins. Then he doubled up the trapezoid flags to produce larger front wings for the Space Police Viper. Finally, the tail fins of that ship are made by overlapping two trapezoid flags on the same bar.
Christopher Deck continues his exploration of world landmarks with the Reichstag. As always, he includes instructions so you can build your own. At over 400 pieces, this is pretty massive for a micro MOC, one of the largest MOCs Chris has made in years.
Spencer Rezkalla has these great images of the Burj Dubai under construction. As much as I like the overall skyscraper (how many 2x2 round plates are in that thing, anyway?), I like these little cranes even more.
Johnnyred has created a whole fleet of 20+ ships for his Phoenix Command Group, which appears to be a space wargame. Most of these are strongly influenced by Star Trek or other science fiction sources, such as Space Battleship Yamato.
Chris Deck has broken from his normal pattern of space ships to make the Jedi Temple at two different scales. In each case he has to use some clever techniques to get the required angles, as you can see if you look at his instructions.
Stepping away from BrickCon pics, Einon has a great Imperial fleet. He says he's going to make an opposing force in light gray and will stage naval battles. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these.
The BrickCon gathering happened in Seattle over the last few days. Among the many great MOCs on display there was a big micropolis layout. Photo credits to yupa-sama.
