Minnesota monuments

A series of micro MOCs were on display at a recent TwinLUG meeting. I wonder if these will be incorporated into their growing group micro city? At least the first two of these are by Tom __?__. Could someone fully identify the builders?

Edit: These were all by Tom Anderson. I guess they had a little contest to build the Minnesota State Capital and Cathedral of St Paul at the last TwinLug meeting. These guys have the coolest micro collaboration - I know I've blogged it before but will have to do a much more extensive post sometime soon.

We were having a non-competition to see who could come up with the best Micro version of the Minnesota State Capital and Cathedral of St Paul both in St Paul, MN.

IIRC there were three capital buildings and two or three cathedrals.

My cathedral (http://www.flickr.com/photos/bisonfuehrer/3236247976/) ended up being close to Micropolis scale so it will get added to the city, but we'll see about the others. I haven't taken my own pictures as I have to get some parts in different colors and I'm tinkering with possibly making it a bit bigger (And the landscaping isn't quite done yet either).

I'm thrilled to have my creations featured on MicroBricks! For the cathedral and capitol buildings, I constrained myself to build from the LEGO Factory palette, which added another level to the challenge. The train is built from some bricks I had at hand, and is still very much a work in progress.

We've been having great fun putting together and expanding the Micropolis; it's been a wellspring of creativity.
